Amhairc

Amhairc is a collection of images inspired by the works of a number of artists from the 18th and 19th Centuries, such as Canaletto and del Campo. Known as ‘vedute’ (Italian for views), these artists created highly detailed depictions of European cities, capturing their architecture, atmosphere, and sense of life with incredible precision.

This project draws heavily on the content of these vedute but with a more detailed focus on smaller, more intimate scenes, and more often the everyday people that inhabit them.
